My visit with “Rainbow Larry” Volvo shop in Bellingham.
It was one of those cool but sunny fall days. Perfect for a drive with a vintage vehicle and today the honor went to my 1951 Chevrolet truck. What a great day to bomb up Hwy 9 and enjoy the fall colors and smells.
Larry Watson aka “Rainbow Larry”, the owner and master facilitator of Rainbow Auto Service has been an automotive tinkerer since Nixon resigned…that would be 1974!
Larry opened Rainbow in 1986 and is still busy taking care of one Volvo at a time. His shop is fittingly located on Jensen Road! Larry certified as an ASE Master Technician and he has several ASE certified technicians on his team.
Whether it is a 122 that needs a brake job or some computer issue on a V70, Larry and his team is there to help.
Sometimes Larry solves minor problems over the phone as his philosophy is that not all cars needs $1,000’s of dollars spent right away. He is truly looking after you, the customer. He can also supply a loaner car.
Larry is also a WA state licensed auto dealer. He usually have cars for sale and you can find the link to his Craigslist listings on his site.
His yard is also filled with several cars to check out.
